Baffles of various depths and lengths with specific flow window arrangements are fabricated by Texas Boom Company for control of the length of flow in aeration ponds as well as subdivision of ponds for segmental applications. These baffles are designed for directing the water through aeration, purification and mixing ponds to achieve maximum oxygen uptake and required retention time. The baffles are designed with maximum versatility for achieving the optimum flow pattern and resistance times. Texas Boom Company baffles are tailor made to the requirements of each individual project. However, all baffles conform to our general design, depicted in the picture, and overall tensile strength for each baffle is anywhere from 15000 lbs. up to 100000 lbs., and over, depending on the baffle size and the specific tensile requirement of the project. Windows can be designed to render surface, middle, or bottom flows. The baffle at the end section may be designed with a slope to fit the
contour of the pond. If the situation demands, additional ballast can be added to keep the skirt in position.
